At Illuxtron, we are committed to responsible packaging and minimising waste. Whenever possible, we avoid plastic and choose cardboard or bulk packaging to reduce material use.
Management of returned products
All defective fixtures returned to us are thoroughly inspected and, where possible, dismantled. We reuse usable parts directly in our production process. Any defective components are strictly separated from packaging materials and recycled, from aluminium to cardboard.
Bulk packaging for projects
In 2022, we launched bulk packaging for larger projects in the Netherlands. Due to its success, this packaging method will become standard for project orders in the Netherlands starting September 1, 2025, where technically feasible.
The luminaires are delivered in stackable trays that are separated and well-protected. The quantity of luminaires per bulk box varies by product type. An example of this can be seen in the video of our bandgrid luminaires below.
Why bulk packaging?
Bulk packaging offers several advantages, such as:
- Less packaging material
- Fewer actions on site
- Time savings for installers and for Illuxtron
Extra service
On request, we can label the trays per floor or per room. For example, per floor (1, 2, 3) or per room (reception, lounge, bathroom). This makes work on-site more efficient and clearer.
