Who are you?
Are you a driven Product Engineer who enjoys applying technical knowledge in creative ways to meet specific customer needs? Illuxtron International offers you the opportunity to apply your technical vision and expertise in our MIYO department within the fascinating world of LED lighting. We’re looking for an ambitious professional who’s ready to take our sales in Europe to the next level. How cool would it be to see your designs featured in leading architectural projects?
Your role:
The Product Engineer is jointly responsible for developing lighting solutions for professional applications that may fall both within and outside the standard product range. Based on our customers’ needs, you’ll develop a custom solution and guide it through the organization using a structured process. Your responsibilities:
- The inventive and creative use of existing Illuxtron components, combined with the development of new components on one’s own initiative;
- Translating (one-time) market needs into specific lighting solutions;
- Documenting new products, parts, designs, and structures;
- Supporting the Sales department by providing explanations about products and product requirements;
- Coordinating with external parties (such as suppliers) and internal departments throughout the product development process;
- Preparing cost estimates and drafting quotes;
- Recording relevant information in our CRM system.
Your skills:
- You are technically skilled and resourceful;
- You work accurately and with a focus on quality;
- You are able to handle stress and are flexible;
- You are driven, enthusiastic, and energetic;
- You have strong interpersonal and communication skills;
- You are capable of working both as part of a team and independently, and you have strong organizational skills.
You have:
- At least a vocational (MBO) level of work and thinking in a technical field;
- Relevant experience in the field of engineering;
- Proficiency in Dutch and English;
- Knowledge of design software such as SolidWorks or Autodesk Fusion 360;
- Experience with computer systems, such as Exact Globe and MS Office.
