Coers & Roest Leaves the Nieuwe Kade After Fifty Years
ARNHEM – Printing company Coers & Roest will move in March of next year for the third time since its founding in 1853. The new location is at the corner of Mercatorweg and Snelliusweg in Arnhem. The company is leaving its current building on the Nieuwe Kade after fifty years. “It’s outdated,” says Jacqueline Willemsen, commercial director at Coers & Roest. “The graphic arts sector is changing rapidly. We need more space for technology and want to reorganize our logistics.” The new building, construction of which has already begun, will make that possible. The printing company’s new home, an industrial-style design by D&M Architecten of Rozendaal, will cover approximately 2,000 square meters.

Consulting Services
Coers & Roest, which currently employs about 27 people, would like to gradually expand to around 30 employees at the Rijnpark business park, according to Willemsen. The printing company and design studio (founded on Nieuwe Oeverstraat) aims to expand its operations to include consulting services. The company’s old building is not only outdated, but it is also located in an area where an industrial park is set to make way for residential development (Nieuwe Kadekwartier). In that context, the housing corporation Volkshuisvesting Arnhem purchased the building back in 2013 for 1.25 million euros.
