The Maverick Athenaeum Hostel is a unique place where culture, history, and hospitality come together. The hostel is located in a historic building featuring the award-winning statue of Pallas Athena, which creates a memorable guest experience.
Lighting plays an important role in preserving the building’s authentic atmosphere. Our track lighting ensures that the architecture is highlighted without distracting from it. This way, the historic details remain the focal point, while guests enjoy a warm and inviting environment.
What kind of lighting was used?
Odion XS
The Illuxtron Odion 3F XS track spot provides functional accent lighting throughout the hostel. The fixtures highlight key elements of the interior and blend seamlessly into the space.
The Odion XS will soon be available with CRI95 for excellent colour rendering and a new PI-LED technology for even greater freedom in creating high-quality lighting designs.
Odion XS with honeycomb
Some of the Odion track spots in the project are equipped with the honeycomb diffuser. Although this accessory reduces light output by about 25% compared to clear glass, it offers significant advantages in terms of visual comfort.
The honeycomb structure reduces glare and minimizes stray light, allowing attention to be focused entirely on the architecture and the objects. At the same time, it creates greater contrast and depth in the space, contributing to a warm, exclusive ambiance that is well-suited to a high-end hospitality environment.
