To tackle this challenge, the client turned to our MIYO(Make It Your Own) MIYO to create a custom solution. As soon as the MIYO heard about this problem, an idea immediately came to mind: a Trimless Illuxtron fixture based on the Fido.

The Trimless Solution
A Trimless fixture is the perfect solution for creating a sleek and minimalist ceiling, drawing all the attention to the beautiful space. All mounting hardware is concealed beneath a layer of stucco, leaving only the light source visible. What’s more, the beautiful colours the Fido are further highlighted because there are no distracting edges in sight.
How does Trimless work?
The first step is to install a stucco frame by screwing it into a drywall panel. Next, the ceiling is professionally plastered. Our frame is adjustable, ensuring it is always at the correct height. The final step is to install the light module. This module is secured with wire springs and can be removed using a suction cup. This ensures a seamless transition from the plasterwork to our decorative Fido ring.
The light source is subtly integrated into the ceiling and recessed, which helps prevent glare. In addition, we offer Trimless with various options, ensuring this lighting solution meets your specific needs. For example, HV-FD/LV/LV-TW or different beam angles.
Specifications
For this lighting solution, we used an existing Fido downlight . We then transformed it into a unique Trimless variant. We achieved this by CNC-milling a ring and combining it with a laser-cut metal part. Finally, the social workshop assembled the special MIYO with the Fido to create the Trimless concept. In this way, we provided the client with a lighting solution that perfectly complements the luxurious interior and the minimalist aesthetic of the stuccoed ceiling.
