Many standard downlights stray light outside the beam. This can cause glare and create an uncomfortable lighting environment. To address this issue, we have been collaborating with the Austrian lighting institute Bartenback since 2015 in the field of reflector and optical technology.
Together with Bartnebach, we have developed a technology designed to minimize glare as much as possible and combine high light output with a low UGR value.
What is Bartenbach Dark Light ?
Bartenbach Dark Light is a specially developed reflector optic that precisely directs the light and reduces glare. Thanks to the microfacets, the light is directed more precisely, ensuring that more light reaches the desired surface and less light is lost outside the beam.
In practice, this results in a more comfortable light output than many standard reflector solutions or traditional GU10 bulbs.
In addition, the reflectors are equipped with a protective glass cover that prevents the mirror surface from becoming dirty, ensuring that light output is maintained over the long term.
