At Illuxtron, we strive to use sustainable packaging and minimize waste as much as possible. Whenever possible, we avoid plastic and opt for cardboard packaging or bulk packaging to conserve materials.
Responsible handling of returned products
All defective fixtures returned to us are thoroughly inspected and disassembled where possible. We immediately reuse any usable parts in our production process. Any defective components, including packaging materials, are strictly separated and recycled—from aluminum to cardboard.
Bulk packaging for projects
In 2022, we introduced bulk packaging for larger projects in the Netherlands. Due to its success, this packaging method will become the standard for project orders in the Netherlands starting September 1, 2025, where technically feasible.
The fixtures are delivered in stackable trays, separated and well-protected. The number of fixtures per bulk box varies by product type. An example of this can be seen below in the video of our strip light fixtures.
Why bulk packaging?
The use of bulk packaging offers several advantages, including:
- Less packaging material
- Fewer on-site tasks
- Time savings for installers and for Illuxtron
Additional service
Upon request, we can label the trays by floor or by room. For example, by floor (1, 2, 3) or by room (reception, lounge, bathroom). This makes work on-site more efficient and organized.
