After years of experience at VRIELAND and Lighting Partner, a new chapter began in 2009: Illuxtron International B.V. With the rise of LED lighting, the lighting market changed rapidly, creating opportunities for a new generation of lighting solutions.
Illuxtron was founded with a clear vision: to develop high-quality LED lighting that is not only functional but also enhances comfort and architecture.From the very beginning, the focus has been on product development, flexibility, and innovation. Thanks to the knowledge and international experience gained by previous generations, Illuxtron was able to quickly establish itself as a specialized player in the professional lighting market. The collection has expanded from downlights spotlights to a wide range of project lighting for offices, retail, hospitality, and commercial buildings, among others.
Through continuous development, a strong focus emerged on:

Development in the Netherlands
From the very beginning, Illuxtron has been developing its lighting fixtures in the Netherlands with its own R&D team. This allows the company to respond quickly to new technologies, market developments, and specific project requirements.
By combining standard products with custom solutions, we developed a flexible approach that increasingly focused on the projects themselves.
Just as with the previous generation of VRIELAND, local assembly also plays an important role at Illuxtron. A large portion of the fixtures is assembled at social workshops in Zeeland. Through this partnership, Illuxtron is committed to local engagement and equal opportunities in the labor market. At the same time, local assembly ensures flexibility, quality control, and short lines of communication within projects.
MIYO Lighting
In response to the growing demand for project-specific solutions, MIYO (Make It Your Own): Illuxtron’s custom design department. With MIYO , Illuxtron MIYO , among other things:

Lighting for ceiling systems
The market increasingly shifted toward integration and architectural lighting. This led to the development of the L4CS collection (Lighting for Ceiling Solutions).
This collection was designed to fully integrate lighting into various ceiling systems, including:

- metal ceilings
- climate ceilings
Lighting for Light and Health
In addition to architectural lighting, Illuxtron is also increasingly focusing on the impact of light on health and well-being. This vision gave rise to the Light & Health, which centers on technologies such as Human Centric Lighting (HCL) and Biocentric Lighting (BCL).
