Plus Ultra Wageningen forms the epicenter of agri-food innovation. The facility is located in one of the world’s leading hubs for sustainable agriculture and food technology and offers flexible laboratory and office spaces for start-ups, scale-ups, and established companies. In this way, Plus Ultra Wageningen brings together a strong network of innovators working collectively on the future of global food systems.
The Plus Ultra Wageningen III building has been designed with a future-oriented vision and sustainability at its core. The facility is largely constructed from wood and built to be CO₂-negative. Sustainability has been integrated on multiple levels to achieve the BREEAM Excellent certification, with lighting playing a key role.
Which lighting fixtures were used?
tailor-made Cortina
The Cortina louver luminaires have been specially custom-designed for integration into the climate ceiling. In close coordination with Van den Pol Elektrotechniek, we developed Cortina with the correct tolerances and dimensions. The luminaires are controlled via sensors, contributing to an energy-efficient lighting solution.
The Odion trackspot
Upon entering the building and throughout the corridors, the Odion track spots provide flexible and focused lighting. The luminaires aesthetically complement the building’s wooden accents and are made to order in our social workshops.
LED Panel B
In addition, LED Panel B was selected: an ENEC-certified luminaire with low UGR, high luminous efficacy, and an expected lifetime of over 100,000 operating hours. This makes the LED panel a sustainable choice that aligns well with the project.
